Parsons’ Freedom Is a Two Edged Sword contains the bulk of published writing, but a new book has been released by Teitan Press, titled Three Essays on Freedom, which contains a new essay not published previously.

Re: New book by Jack Parsons
Fri, July 4, 2008 - 8:32 AMThanks for the book tip. At $45 for one essay that I don't have, I may wait to hear some more about it before I shell out the cash If anyone wants to post up about it (or better yet scan the essay and post it) that would be great. There is also a great essay that is not in Freedom is a Two Edged Sword in the book Rebels and Devils, a collection of essays by various authors put out by Falcon Press and worth having. On a side note it looks like Falcon Press has been taken over by the dark side! (see www.originalfalcon.com/ for details).

ps. For links on Tribe all you have to do is put the url (with the http://) and it will automatically be linked. -

Compliments of the fabulous disaster that is "sherpa." There was a very interesting thread on tribes.tribe.net/cshyatt that was titled "The Future of Falcon". It was a really interesting thread regardless of its bitchy argumentative tone. That thread was unfortunately deleted for some reason. -

Re: New book by Jack Parsons
Tue, July 8, 2008 - 6:48 AMUnfortunately there are many people in the world that think wisdom and knowledge is evil. And interest in the occult is evil. Etc.... They say "All you need is the Bible. Everything else is of the Devil." That is such a limited tunnel vision mindset. I have my own perspective on evil and morals / ethics, etc... Ultimately, noone elses opinion but my own truly matters. Except to the extent that they influence me. I'm willing to be taught & to learn new things. I'm open to change. At the end of the day I'm still the one that has to live with myself. So many people live for other people they are jealous and envious of those that live for themselves. I dont mean living for a wife and kids. That's admirable. I'm talking about people that do or do not say or do certain things because theyre worried what others might think. They do not allow themselves the freedom to think for themselves and truly just live and be happy. Theyre consumed with worry over "What others might think." The beautiful part about being an adult and "all grown up" is that you don't have to live for other people. And many people think thats just pure evil speak. And yes, I'm well aware that we here in California have it better than most of the world when it comes to living in a liberal thinking live and let live society. That when you go to many other places in this country they are still stuck decades in the past. I met a guy in PS last weekend that is a school teacher in a southern state and he says he has to remain closeted because he would lose his job. I can't imagine that kind of life at all. -
